Iron-rich Smoothies
Suzy Spoon’s Spatone® recipes: Each of the following recipes serves one person. Simply put all the ingredients into a blender for 30 seconds, pour the mixture into a glass and enjoy!
Spatone®, Strawberry & Kiwi whip
- ½ a box of strawberries
- 1 kiwi fruit
- 3 mint leaves
- 10 cubes of ice
- 1 sachet of Spatone®
Spatone®, Orange, Apple & Carrot
- ½ a peeled orange
- 2 carrots
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cored apple
- 1 sachet of Spatone®
The Green Boost
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and pitted
- 3 cups of kale
- 8 ounces of water
- 1 sachet of Spatone®
You can add Spatone® to any cold beverage of your choice, but we do recommend you choose a vitamin C-rich drink. With that in mind, check below for more delicious yet nutritious iron and vitamin C-rich smoothies that you can create using Spatone®.
The ‘Iron Up Your Life’ Smoothie
- ½ cup of blueberries
- 2 prunes
- ½ raw beetroot
- ¼avocado
- ½ teaspoon of blackstrap molasses
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- ¼ orange
- 1 sachet of Spatone®
- 1 scoop of protein powder
How to make it: Put everything into a blender, mix for 1 minute, take out, pour into a glass and enjoy.
The “Lean, Green, Iron Making Machine” Smoothie
- 1 sachet of Spatone®
- 1 cup of parsley
- 2 limes
- 2 cups of pineapple
- 4 cups of spinach
- 2 ½ cups of water
How to make it: Put everything into a blender and blend for 45 seconds. Take out, pour into a glass and enjoy.
