What type of iron is in Spatone® Iron Supplement?

Ferric and ferrous are the two types of iron that are found in supplements. Spatone contains ferrous iron which is easier to absorb.

Ferric iron is least easily absorbed and because of this the human body tends to have more difficulty tolerating it. Ferrous iron, however, is absorbed more easily and therefore gentler on the system as you need to take less iron to receive your NRV%.

Spatone contains Ferrous iron and this helps to account for its high average absorption rate1 and the relatively few side effects its users experience. Learn more about why Spatone liquid Iron  is a great supplement to support maintaining higher iron levels
